Hello readers Michael Browne here, WOW!
What a fun, creative, busy day we had yesterday.
I had the pleasure of using Market Cross as my playground for a while, setting up a white back drop, some lights and using the stores, we created a fun summer festival vibe in the lovely sunshine that came to greet us.
I had the pleasure of working with the super friendly staff in Penney’s helping create looks fit for summer parties and rocking festivals.
Not only the fashions were from Penney’s, but the entire makeup look was created using the Catrice and P.S range, primer, concealer, foundation, translucent powder, blusher, there new couture pallet, their smoky eyes pallet, their brow product is great too, mascara, eyeliners, lip gloss and lipsticks I used all of them yesterday and most if not all of which will be a new permeant fixture. Their new range of brushes I thought had left me speechless, but then realised I could talk about them for hours! They are all dual ended, saving on space in the brush kit, the handles have a good non slip grip for butter fingers here; the rose gold tipped ends is very stylish and the bristles themselves are fantastic! There is even one with a beauty blender on one end. From eyes to lips they had it all again the girls from Penney’s were super helpful in that regard; just ask away.
I also hear that Penney’s are coming out with a brand new pro makeup line that’s super affordable they only thing is…. it’s only available in the top 4 stores in our capitol Dublin but I hear it is well worth the trip.
We started the day’s shoots with Penney’s working through male and female summer looks. Cal, our male model was sporting beautifully coloured shorts and funky tee-shirts in a calm natural shade and a pop of mint green shorts, or for an evening look royal blue shorts with a funky purple aqua tee shirt, Aoife our stunning home grown model was getting ready for dancing her tail off in lots of different festive looks including a black lace, short jumpsuit, a grey denim jacket and gladiator sandals, both parties rock the sunglasses and all fashions and makeup used in the photos are off the shelf or rack in Penney’s get there!
Among other fashions we had a stunning summer dress from Monsoon, white with royal blue detailing, very ‘’sitting at the beach’’, or a summer garden party sipping prosecco. This dress was paired with some orange tanned strap wedges and are available in store in the Market Cross.
Vero Moda! What can I say I fell in love with the shorts and jacket you adorned Aoife with, so thank you, the black shirt under the classic denim, some flat sandals in a neutral shade the olive green shorts were above all my favourite, I cannot describe the feel of them so go in and get your hands on them, this look was detailed with cool shades and a statement necklace.
May I just say a huge thanks to Peter mark who selflessly provided styling on hand for the duration of the shoot I am very grateful thanks girls x Aoife was sporting a cool metallic look and Cal was wearing a fashion forward man braids, similar to the “mun” but with braids; the guy can wear anything and still look super cool!
Wallis you stole my heart with this romantic white polka dot, fawn dress.
I loved it on Aoife and for those vertically challenged people this dress was made for all the lovely shorties out there. Big love for you Wallis.
Tailor of blue this is a men’s clothing store with the young handsome professional in mind weather its looking good while being comfortable, or if you want to get dressed up suited and booted so to speak they have fashion that is both professional and still allowing you to express style, if you’re having a problem ask the awesome staff to help you create a look, our model Cal was looking very sharp indeed.
Finishing with men’s fashion, radical on the upper deck of the Market Cross is great for original tee-shirts and some well know brand fashions such as Diesel and more, Cal was wearing fresh white All Star Convers, dusted blue Diesel shorts and a wine polo shirt also by Deasil.
All available from Market Cross Shopping Centre.
To close, I want to thank the Market Cross Staff and customers for the continued support and I look forward to shooting again in the very near future, for all who came and saw the make- up demo, and or tuned into the live stream we did for some tips and tricks I hoped the advice helped and any questions you can get me on Facebook or through the Market Cross website at marketcross.ie
Peace and love to you all
